The power went out at the first of the
storm on Friday the Thirteenth, and did not come back on until Wednesday
18th at 4:30 PM. We could not get Ice until Monday evening (3 days) and lost
everything in the refrigerator. We were lucky that our freezer held and we
did not loose everything in it. Our yard was flooded and with all the trees down, and with the amount of rain the yard would not drain. This made for some fun times getting the puppies out. Notice in the picture above the roots are higher than Jim is tall on one of the downed trees. We did have a battery radio and was able to keep up with the news once the stations got back on the air. Everyone was on with emergency generators. |
